Mrs. Cathy

Founder & Director

Over the years, I have taught preschool, elementary, middle school, high school, GED classes, computer classes, French, English, and English as a Second Language. In 1995, I founded Cathy's Corner, which became Alpine Academy. As the preschool grew, we needed another building for the children in kindergarten and up, and Eagle Creek Academy was born. I believe teaching and learning are the most important jobs in the world, and I am still loving every minute of my time in education. Please give us a call and tell us about you and your children. We are eager to be a loving part of your lives.

Mrs. Savanna

Manager

While growing up, I volunteered in several preschool classrooms after school, and in doing so, I discovered my passion for early childhood education. There’s nothing more rewarding than nurturing children as they grow, learn and develop a love for school. One of my favorite parts of my career is finding creative ways to make each day exciting and joyful for kids. Before joining Alpine in 2021, I earned my associate degree in Early Childhood Education and spent two years working with toddlers at a childcare center in Lake Orion. I’m thrilled to be back at Alpine after my maternity break with my son, Kal, and even more excited to take on my new role as Manager. I look forward to creating meaningful memories with you and your children!

Mrs. Caroline

Operations Manager

My passion for education began almost thirty years ago when I started as a preschool teacher at an international school in Istanbul, Turkey. Since then, I have taught children from preschool through fifth grade, always looking for ways to bring learning to life. To me, it is important that children see how their education connects to their lives and that they find joy in their discoveries. Since 2016, I have been proud to be part of the Alpine Academy and Eagle Creek Academy communities, where I have had the opportunity to teach and work as an administrator. I now serve as the Operations Manager for both schools. In this role, I enjoy supporting our wonderful staff, children, and families, and I am always happy to assist families as they learn more about our programs.

Mrs. Shail

Teacher

Hello! I am a committed toddler teacher who loves to nurture young minds. After finishing my bachelor degree in Political Science and Psychology in 2003, I worked with small children in India and realized that was my future. When I moved to Michigan, I completed my Montessori certification from NAMC and my CDA in early childhood education, and then I returned to teaching children. Before coming to Alpine, I taught children at Miss Dee Dee’s and Our Shepherd Lutheran School. I offer a gentle and engaging learning environment where young children may explore, play, and practice skills. Through hands-on experiences, I present a solid foundation for lifetime learning.

Being able to educate young children is a blessing for me. I love watching their minds work and finding ways to reach them emotionally and academically. Before coming to Alpine, I managed a couple local restaurants for seven years. This experience taught me patience and dedication which I am eager to share with your and your family. Please say hi. I’d love to hear how I can team up with you to make Alpine a great experience.

With over 25 years of childcare experience, most of it in teaching preschool and young fives, one of the things I enjoy most is seeing the children's joy when they master a new challenge. I hold a Liberal Arts Associate Degree from Henry Ford College and a CDA (Child Development Associate) from Dearborn Public Schools Adult Continuing Education. I love reading to children and helping them develop a real love for literature. I am the proud mother of two wonderful daughters, one in high school and one in college. I look forward to engaging with your children and getting to know their passions. I'm also eager to team up with you to make every day a great day.

I am truly delighted to be a part of the Alpine family. Although my degree is in commerce, I discovered that nurturing little minds is where my heart belongs. Since 2021, I have dedicated my time to working with young children, a deeply rewarding path that has become my true passion. I really love watching how young minds work and providing chances for them to expand. Creating a gentle, engaging space for children to learn allows me to bring my full energy to the classroom while maintaining a wonderful work-life balance.

I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued and encouraged to be themselves. I enjoy helping children learn through play, hands-on experiences, and meaningful relationships. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and making memories with my husband. I look forward to getting to know your family!

Teacher

I have always had a passion for helping children learn, grow, and become confident in who they are. I graduated from Oakland University in 2018 with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Since then, I have loved working in education and creating meaningful, positive experiences for children. I am also a proud mom to my beautiful 4-year-old daughter, Evelyn, who has taught me so much about the joy, curiosity, and wonder that comes with childhood. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and excited to learn, and I strive to create a classroom where children can explore, have fun, and build a strong foundation. I look forward to getting to know your children and making this a memorable year together!

Hi! I have been working with children and families for over five years in early childhood and special education settings. I have experience as a preschool lead teacher, special education teacher, and case manager, and I genuinely enjoy helping children become confident in who they are. I love creating fun, engaging learning experiences, building meaningful relationships with children and their families, and making sure every child feels welcome, supported, and successful. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, building LEGO sets, and continuing to learn as an educator. I am extremely excited to be part of the Alpine Academy family,

Substitute Teacher

I am so excited to continue being part of the Alpine Academy community as a substitute teacher! Originally from Mexico, I moved to Michigan seven years ago and now live in Rochester Hills with my husband and our two kids. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Master of Business Administration, both from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. For the past few years, I've had the pleasure of working with the Rochester Community School District, first as an ESL teacher and most recently as a Spanish teacher for an after-school program. I enjoy working with children and creating a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment. I look forward to supporting Alpine's students and teachers in different classrooms throughout the school year. In my free time, I enjoy baking, photography, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am thrilled to continue being part of the Alpine Academy community and look forward to a wonderful school year.

Substitute Teacher

After completing my MBA in Finance at Osmania University and working in the corporate world for ten years, I joined my sister in opening a playschool. Managing and teaching there was the best decision I had made. In 2019, I found my way to Eagle Creek and Alpine. Now I am at Alpine every day and enjoying every minute. I believe each child is talented and unique in his or her own way, and it is upon us as teachers to bring out the best in them. Please stop by to visit. I'd love to get to know you and your little one.

Mr. Craig

Facility Manager

I have been managing Alpine's campus since 2007. I like keeping the building and grounds in tiptop shape, from the garbage disposals to the air conditioning units. I also own and manage Knox Lawn & Landscape, which is how I originally came to Alpine. Originally from North Branch, I now live in Dryden with my wife and three children. I enjoy snowmobiling, boating, and spending time with family.
